MARY'S FOOT BATH RITUAL

For me, a foot bath is a quiet time where I have the opportunity to relax, take a few deep breaths and create a grounding connection again. I create some cozy settings for yourself, and enjoy a pleasant scalp massage while your feet are soaked.
I FIND THE FOLLOWING
-A cup of tea. My favorite is a cup of Matcha from Sing Tehus
-My olive green tub filled with hot water
-A towel
-My favorite playlist from Spotify, which I often also use in my yoga classes
-Depending on my mood, I use either Beige Clay Bath Salt with the scent of geranium or Rose Clay Bath Salt with the scent of lavender.
FILL THE FOOT TUB WITH WATER AND BATH SALTS
I settle in and let my feet rest in the water for 5 minutes while I enjoy my matcha and the relaxing music.
SCRUB YOUR FEET
Once the feet are warmed up, I start scrubbing the feet with the pumice stone. I use the soap that flows around together with the salt to exfoliate the skin and remove dead skin cells.
IF YOU HAVE SORE LEGS
When I have extra good time or sore legs from running, I place my feet back in the water and give my legs a massage with the body gua sha. The Epsom salt in Mellow Mind's bath salt is pure magnesium, which is absorbed into the skin, and together with the gua sha massage, it loosens muscle tension and stubborn connective tissue.
AN EXTRA TREAT
Then I turn my focus to the neck and scalp now that I have to sit still anyway. With the gua sha comb, I do a scalp massage and loosen neck tension and calm the nervous system. If you are in doubt about how to use the Gua Sha comb, I show several tutorials on Mellow Mind's instagram.
YOU GET EXTRA SOFT FEET
Finally, I dry my feet and put on a pair of warm socks. The bath salt contains organic avocado oil, so my feet are wonderfully soft and I don't have to apply cream.
I hope you feel like taking a nice relaxing foot bath. Enjoy!
Kind Regards Maria
